Tipi-Wakan Christian Club's three-story gambrel-roofed building has two-story columns at its entrance, with a screened porch on the first floor, and decks on the second and third floors. The building was originally built by the Great Northern Railroad and managed by James and Amanda Woolnough as the Maple Heights Inn. In the 1920s it was sold, renamed Tipi-Waken, and used as a Christian-affiliated clubhouse offering meeting space and retreat opportunities. The building was razed in 1964.

Vilgard (Daehlin) Sorgen spent her early years in China as the daughter of missionaries. She came to Moorhead in 1927 to enroll at Concordia College and graduated in 1931. Mrs. Sorgen discusses her early life in China and the role she and her husband played in the establishment of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Moorhead in 1952.
Robert Feder, grandson of Max Goldberg, discusses his childhood growing up in Fargo, ND. Mr. Feder, presently a lawyer in Fargo. He discusses his Jewish religion, as well as Jewish involvement in the Fargo-Moorhead community.
Mrs. Marilyn Murray White was born in Columbia, Missouri in 1926, and moved to Moorhead that same year. Mrs. White describes her more than 40 years of involvement with and membership in the First Congregation Church of Moorhead, where she served in many capacities including four years as Church Education Director.

This volume documents the financial crisis of the 1890's and its impact on declining church revenues. In this volume the Clerk displays skills in calligraphy, embellishing each entry with colored lettering and occasional images. The Credit River Catholic Cemetery (originally St. Peter's Cemetery) is south of the corner of County Road 21 and County Road 27. It was founded in the 1800s on land next to where St. Peter's church once stood.
Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1301 County Road 42 East, Burnsville Minnesota was established in 1928 in the Orchard Lake area of Burnsville and Lakeville. In 1959 they purchased property for a new church, which was completed in 1961. In 1984 they dedicated a new church, shown here.
After St. John the Baptist Catholic Church was chartered in 1854, William Byrne and his family donated the land for the church and cemetery. The burial ground, located on Judicial Road, Burnsville, Minnesota continues to serve the parish.
After a fire destroyed St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Burnsville in 1904, it was rebuilt with brick on 125th Street West in Savage, Minnesota. This structure was torn down and replaced in 1984 with a newer and larger building attached to the parish school.
This history of the Duluth Diocese of the Catholic Church, which was formed in 1889 and embraced the counties of Aitkin, Becker, Beltrami, Carlton, Cass, Clay, Cook, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Itasca, Kittson, Lake, Marshal, Norman, Pine, Polk, and St. Louis, includes short biographies of early missionaries in Northern Minnesota. It also has histories and photographs of some early Catholic churches, schools, orphanages, and hospitals, information on Indian missions and on the Sisters of St. Benedict, who founded Duluth's St. Mary's Hospital and four other hospitals in the diocese. The book also provides a list of priests who worked in the diocese from 1889 to 1914.
Caption on the back reads: "Mr. and Mrs. Ole Hoimyr, who lived in Bandon Township. She was a sister of Pastor N.P. Xavier, who served Ft. Ridgely and Dale Lutheran Church from 1876 to 1891. Mr. Hoimyr was "klokker" in the church (assistant pastor) and taught Norwegian religious school. The Hoimyr's had one daughter, Palm, wife of George Olson of Franklin." Nils Xavier was a Sami pastor.
